Anna has practiced at the private Bar in Queensland since 2008.
She is passionate about social justice and providing fearless advocacy for people who find themselves confronting the criminal justice system.
Anna practices in criminal law where she appears in trials and hearings in the Supreme, District, Childrens and Magistrates Courts of Queensland and in appeals in the Queensland Court of Appeal. Anna also appears in inquiries and inquests. In 2022, Anna was one of the Counsel Assisting the Independent Commission of Inquiry into Queensland Police Service responses to domestic and family violence. In 2024, Anna was one of the Counsel Assisting the State Coroner in the Inquest into the shooting deaths at Wieambilla on 12 December 2022.
Anna is a member of the Bar Association’s Criminal Law Committee. She is also the Bar Association’s representative on the Expert Evidence Steering Committee chaired by His Honour Judge Byrne KC and the Sexual Violence Case Management Pilot Steering Committee chaired by His Honour Chief Judge Devereaux SC.
Anna is a Chair of the AFL Queensland Tribunal. She also represents AFL players in hearings before the national AFLW Tribunal.
Anna is a Board Member of inCommunity, a not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of services to homeless, at risk and disadvantaged members of the community.
